When asked what food he would eat without abandon if it had no consequences, Mr. Smith responded without hesitation – cheesecake! One of our go-to places in Los Angeles is Pacific Cheesecake Company. They make cupcake-size cheesecakes that melt in your mouth. Even better, no arguing over which flavor to get because these individual cheesecakes come in over 30 flavors so that everyone can choose his or her own.
But for this year’s National Cheesecake Day, we consulted LA Weekly’s list of the 10 Best Cheesecakes in Los Angeles to try something new. We settled on the mashup baklava cheesecake from Rodini Park. This rich creation has a graham cracker and phyllo dough crust, cream cheese filling, and a topping of baklava made from phyllo, chopped nuts, cinnamon and sugar. It’s the perfect way to celebrate! But if that doesn’t fill you up somehow, we hear The Cheesecake Factory is offering half-price slices of cheesecake today.
